DATES FOR NEXT YEAR’S FESTIVAL
FRI 18TH, SAT 19TH & SUN 20TH JUNE.
from ancient myths to new legends. The next chapter starts here….
For the second year of Coalville Theatre Festival, we’re inviting artists and theatre-makers to explore the theme of Myths & Legends. From Hercules and the Greek gods to mythical creatures, folk tales, urban legends, modern myths, ghost stories and tall tales passed down through generations, there are countless directions this theme could take you. It might be a familiar character reimagined, an entirely new legend, a strange fable from somewhere across the world, or a story rooted right here in North West Leicestershire. We’re looking for bold, imaginative and diverse work that takes the theme somewhere unexpected. The work can be funny, dark, magical, contemporary, traditional, strange or thought-provoking. Use “Myths & Legends” as your starting point, and make it your own…
If you missed out this year and would like to be part of the 2027 festival, we’d love to hear from you.
